The closing ceremony of the eighth Young Scientists Festival was held on December 17, 2024, coinciding with Research Week of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. In this edition, out of 459 registered applications, 10 ideas in the Idea Section and 4 projects in the Startup Section were selected as final winners, while 21 ideas received honorable mentions. In addition, the selected projects in the Idea Section received a total of 15.3 billion rials in support from the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation, and the selected projects in the Startup Section received a total of 14.7 billion rials in support.
Ten percent of all the grants were paid out as prizes to the winners in each category during the closing ceremony.
