The Young Scientists Festival is held annually with the support of the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation, in collaboration with the National Research and Technology Week of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, the University of Tehran, and the University of Tehran Supporters Foundation.

This national and international event aims to identify and support the scientific and creative ideas of young people by providing pathways to market entry, as well as financial and research support, for outstanding ideas and applied projects.

A special focus of the 10th edition of the Festival is on Generation Z Innovators, enabling young innovators aged 11 to 23 to participate in this edition of the Festival.

In this edition, out of 601 registered applications, 12 ideas in the Idea Section and 5 ideas in the Startup Section were selected as final winners, while 27 ideas received honorable mentions. Additionally, the selected projects in the Idea Section received a total of 2.44 billion rials, the projects in the Startups category received a total of 2.25 billion rials, and the Outstanding Young Faculty Member awardees received a total of 700 million rials in research grants from the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation.

Furthermore, the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and the Knowledge-Based Economy granted support funds to 3 idea generators and 1 startup team.

Ten percent of all the grants were paid out as prizes to the winners in each category during the closing ceremony.

The closing ceremony of the eighth Young Scientists Festival was held on December 17, 2024, coinciding with Research Week of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. In this edition, out of 459 registered applications, 10 ideas in the Idea Section and 4 projects in the Startup Section were selected as final winners, while 21 ideas received honorable mentions. In addition, the selected projects in the Idea Section received a total of 15.3 billion rials in support from the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation, and the selected projects in the Startup Section received a total of 14.7 billion rials in support.

Ten percent of all the grants were paid out as prizes to the winners in each category during the closing ceremony.

The closing ceremony of the seventh Young Scientists Festival was held on December 12, 2023, coinciding with the International Year of Basic Sciences and Research Week. In this edition, out of 335 registered applications, 11 ideas in the Idea Section and 4 projects in the Startup Section were selected as final winners, while 43 ideas received honorable mentions and 2 individuals were recognized as Outstanding Young Faculty Members. The selected projects in the Idea Section received a total of 11 billion rials in support, while the selected projects in the Startup Section received a total of 10.2 billion rials in support. In addition, the Outstanding Young Faculty Members received a total of 2 billion rials in research grants from the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation.

The closing ceremony of the sixth Young Scientists Festival was held on February 28, 2023. In this edition, out of 342 registered applications, 12 ideas in the Idea Section and 4 ideas in the Startup Section were selected as final winners, while 52 ideas received honorable mentions and 2 individuals were recognized as Outstanding Young Faculty Members. The selected projects in the Idea Section received a total of 14.4 billion rials in support, while the selected projects in the Startup Section received a total of 12.5 billion rials in support. In addition, the Outstanding Young Members received a total of 2.8 billion rials in research grants from the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation.

The closing ceremony of the fifth Young Scientists Festival was held on November 30, 2021. In this edition, out of 333 registered ideas, 14 ideas in the Idea Section and 4 projects in the Startup Section were selected as final winners, while 50 ideas received honorable mentions and 2 individuals were recognized as Young Faculty Members. The selected projects in the Idea Section received a total of 7 billion rials in support from the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation, and the selected projects in the Startup Section received a total of 4 billion rials. In addition, the Young Faculty Members received a total of 1 billion rials in research grants from the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation.

The closing ceremony of the fourth Young Scientists Festival was held on November 29, 2020. In this round, out of 430 registered applications, 12 proposals in the Idea Section and 4 projects in the Startup Section were selected as final winners. Additionally, 38 ideas received honorable mentions, and 2 individuals were recognized as Young Faculty Members. The selected projects in the Idea Section received a total of 3.6 billion rials in support from the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation, while the selected projects in the Startup Section received a total of 2.7 billion rials. The Young Faculty Members received a total of 600 million rials in research grants from the Jamili Foundation.

The closing ceremony of the third Young Scientists Festival was held on November 30, 2019. In this round, out of 316 registered submissions, 4 applications were selected as final winners in the Idea Section, 4 projects in the Startup Section, and 26 ideas received honorable mentions. Additionally, 2 individuals were recognized as Young Faculty Members. The selected projects received a total of 1 billion rials in support from the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation in the Idea Section, and a total of 2 billion rials in the Startup Section. Furthermore, the Outstanding Young Faculty Members received a total of 200 million rials in research grants from the Jamili Foundation Science and Technology.

The closing ceremony of the second Young Scientists Festival was held on November 28, 2018. Following the three-day Startup Weekend event, 6 submissions out of 637 registered entries were selected as final winners, and 45 were recognized with honorable mentions. In addition, the selected projects received a combined support grant of 1.5 billion rials from the Jamili Foundation for Science and Technology.

The closing ceremony of the first Young Scientists Festival was held on November 29, 2017. In this edition), out of 421 registered applications, 20 were selected as final laureates, 17 submissions received honorable mentions, and 1 person was introduced as the Young Faculty Member. For the laureates in each field, the first-place winners received 5 coins, second-place winners received 3 coins, third-place winners received 2 coins, and fourth-place winners received 1 full Bahar-e Azadi gold coin. Additionally, a total of 600 million Rials in support credit was awarded to 3 selected startup projects. In the Young Faculty Member Section, a research credit of 500 million Rials was granted jointly by the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation and the Fund for Support of Researchers and Innovators.
