The closing ceremony of the seventh Young Scientists Festival was held on December 12, 2023, coinciding with the International Year of Basic Sciences and Research Week. In this edition, out of 335 registered applications, 11 ideas in the Idea Section and 4 projects in the Startup Section were selected as final winners, while 43 ideas received honorable mentions and 2 individuals were recognized as Outstanding Young Faculty Members. The selected projects in the Idea Section received a total of 11 billion rials in support, while the selected projects in the Startup Section received a total of 10.2 billion rials in support. In addition, the Outstanding Young Faculty Members received a total of 2 billion rials in research grants from the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation.
Ten percent of all the grants were paid out as prizes to the winners in each category during the closing ceremony.
